1. 4-5 students suspended for wearing American flags on their own clothing on Cinco de Mayo. Labeled as incendiary by the school’s Latino principal. One student’s remarks, “They can be patriots on every other day, it’s disrespectful to do it today (May 5th).” In response 200 Latino students marched through the town of Morgan Hill, California. So Kevin asked this question on their facebook earlier today, “to what degree does institutionalized dependency contribute to the creation of poverty?” We also like the comment from another Rising Voice facebook member when he said, “Want to know how to fight poverty?
