1. The President, in a state visit from the Mexican head of state makes the claim that “We are not defined by our borders.” Yet aren’t nation’s defined by borders, language, and law? It would seem to me that without a border one nation sort of blends into another one. Given the out of control border violence on the U.S. southern border, it seems irresponsible to continue to encourage Mexico to push its criminals into our borders. 2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: I happen to be coming to the further and deeper belief almost daily that there are some elements of life in America that are gone and likely will not be returning. Letting your kid walk to school, or playing in the neighborhood park by themselves seem like no-brainers to me. Am I missing something?
