ON THE KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW:
1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: First President Obama bans all other off shore drilling for six months. The gulf region will lose millions in lost wages, and the drilling platforms will head to other places around the world. Now a judge says that the Obama administration fundamentally lied in their explanation before the court as to why the moratorium should stand, and over turns the ban on drilling. Oministration’s response? “We’ll just issue another moratorium.” Disagree with me here: 866.348.7884. Bonus… Day 4 since it’s been revealed of the Oministration’s knowledge of the Deepwater Horizon’s significant pre-explosion troubles.
2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: Is it always the right thing to do to fire someone who is insubordinate? Gen. Stanley McChrystal’s actions and those he tolerated that are reported on in the newest edition of Rolling Stone are unacceptable–even if they are true. The President has summoned him back to Washington DC. Today they will meet face to face. Yet many pundits are saying, “To much is riding on the success of Afghanistan to change Generals now…” 866.348.7884
3. THE EARLY MORNING GOD THOUGHT:
“We look at life through the eyes of reason and say that if a person will control his instincts, and educate himself, he can produce a life that will slowly evolve into the life of God. But as we continue on through life, we find the presence of something which we have not yet taken into account, namely, sin— and it upsets all of our thinking and our plans. Sin has made the foundation of our thinking unpredictable, uncontrollable, and irrational.
