ON THE:
KEVIN McCULLOUGH SHOW
1. THE HEADLINE ITEM: Some are making the argument that capitalism is the cure for poverty–especially in the third world. And NOT “charity” which they define as handouts. On PBS On Tuesday night. With capitalism lately under attack in both Congress and the media, the film The New Recruits follows a group of business students who still believe in its virtues. Their plan to end poverty: charge poor people for goods and services. The New Recruits is narrated by three-time Emmy Award-nominee Rainn Wilson. So will capitalism end poverty? Disagree with me here: 866.348.7884.
2. THE PRACTICAL DILEMMA: Is President Obama attempting to write a book on how NOT to solve a problem like a CEO? Incredibly he played his 38th round of golf (in 18 months) on Sunday. You know… while the oil spill deadline for BP came and went? Four hours of golf helped him set a new record as will every round he plays for the duration of his time in office. President Bush played only 24 rounds of golf in 8 years. 866.348.7884.
3. THE EARLY MORNING GOD THOUGHT:
“It is unnecessary to change and arrange my circumstances myself. Our Lord’s inner abiding was pure and unblemished. He was at home with God wherever His body was. He never chose His own circumstances, but was meek, submitting to His Father’s plans and directions for Him. “
